Additional Support in Literacy & Numeracy
Here at Blanchardstown CTC, we offer additional literacy & numeracy support. This helps learners develop the specific literacy and numeracy requirements associated with their course, further study, or future employment. Through the QQI Level 3 and Level 4 Communications modules, learners will be equipped with the relevant knowledge, skills, and competence to communicate verbally and non-verbally in everyday tasks and in work related tasks. Such as:
- IT Skills
- Oral Presentation Skills
- Creative, formal and informal writing
- Reading comprehension
- Visual communication skills
- Project and group work
We also deliver QQI Level 3 and Level 4 Maths modules. These modules will develop and enhance skills in mathematics related to real life situations, apprenticeships, and work. On completion of QQI Level 4 in Functional Mathematics, learners will have a Leaving Certificate Maths equivalent. Many apprenticeship employers recognise this as the minimum entry level for an apprenticeship.
